Due to heavy rains, malaria has now returned to the central and northern parts of the country, so if you are planning a trip to the Okavango Delta, Chobe, Kasane or Victoria Falls areas we would strongly recommend you take malaria prophylaxis medication and other precautions such as sleeping under a treated bed net, using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves especially at dawn and dusk.
Botswana is not an endemic country for yellow fever so vaccination is not required.
