Africa, a diverse and resilient continent, has interconnected health and environmental sustainability concerns, where human well-being is coupled to planet health. Climate change, environmental degradation, and healthcare inequality threaten Africa’s progress, but unity and collective action may overcome them. Under the theme “We Are One: Africa United to Advance Planetary Health Through Collaboration, Resource Alignment in Primary Care,” we emphasise the need for integrated, sustainable solutions that strengthen primary care—the foundation of accessible health systems—and address environmental determinants of disease. Africa can lead in establishing resilient, equitable systems that benefit people and the earth by fostering cross-border collaboration, optimising resource alignment to eliminate inequities, and empowering communities as climate adaptation.
