We understand that circumstances may change, and we aim to accommodate our delegates as fairly as possible. The following policy applies to all registrations for the WONCA 2026 9TH AFRICA REGION CONFERENCE taking place on 10TH – 11TH SEPTEMBER 2026 in GABORONE, BOTSWANA. All communication should be in writing to registrations@woncaafrica2026.org
Cancellations by Delegates
● More than 60 days before the conference (on or before 11 July 2026):
Full refund of registration fees (minus a small 10% admin fee).
● Between 30–60 days before the conference (between 12 July and 9 August 2026):
50% refund of registration fees.
● Less than 30 days before the conference (on or after 10 August 2026):
No refunds will be issued.
● No-shows:
Registrants who do not attend without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund.
Substitutions
● Delegate substitutions are allowed at no additional cost up to 7 days before the conference (before 2 September 2026).
● Requests for substitution must be submitted in writing to the conference organisers at registrations@woncaafrica2026.org.
Cancellations by Organisers
● In the unlikely event that the organisers cancel the conference, all registration fees paid will be refunded in full.
● The organisers are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by delegates.
Force Majeure
The organisers shall not be held responsible for any cancellation or modification of the event due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, or government restrictions. In such cases, refunds will be assessed at the discretion of the organisers.
Refund Processing
● All approved refunds will be processed within 30 business days of receiving the cancellation request.
● Refunds will be made via the original method of payment.
